What is a baptist church?

Baptist churches have no central denominational authority or governing body. So “Baptist” is not so much a denomination as it is a description of what a church believes. In short, Baptists simply believe and preach the Bible above all human and church traditions.

Lakeshore Baptist Church, Kewaunee

Meet our Pastor

Anderson FamilyHello, my name is Ray Anderson. I am a native and long time resident of North East Wisconsin. Before coming to Kewaunee to start Lakeshore Baptist Church, I served as an assistant pastor at Bay City Baptist Church in Green Bay, WI for 10 years.

My wife, Tiffany and I were married in 2001 and together, we have 4 great Kids.

After a mission trip to Mexico as a teen, God impressed me the call to full-time ministry. Paul’s words in 1 Cor 9:16 just resounded in my heart when I read them:

“Though I preach the gospel I have nothing to glory of for necessity is laid upon me. Yea, woe is unto me if I preach not the Gospel.”

My passion is to minister God’s word to God’s people. The Church has such a great potential to impact this world for the Glory of God with the message of the Gospel. I would love to help you understand who God is and how you can know for sure that you are right with Him! If I can help you in any way, please contact me at pastor@LBCKewaunee.org.
